Midway Specialty Care Center is a nonprofit, physician-led infectious-disease organization committed to expanding high-quality HIV, hepatitis, STI, PrEP/PEP, clinical-research, and outpatient specialty services in Florida and the Caribbean. Its international mission specifically includes building sustainable health systems, training local providers, and improving access to lifesaving infectious-disease services in underserved communities.

AAIMS Jamaica recognizes Dr. Ramgopal as a leader of Midway Specialty Care Center and highlights his commitment to expanding medical practice opportunities, educational training, consultation, clinical research, and advanced infectious-disease care across the Caribbean and other underserved communities.

Entry Requirements — Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

What you need from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

BSc or higher in Health or Natural Sciences with GPA ≥ 2.0, or ninety (90) premedical credits from AAIMS or another institution. Minimum: Associate Degree in Health Sciences (AHSc), or BSc GPA ≥ 2.0, or CAPE Units 1 & 2 at Grades 1–3 in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Mathematics, plus at least one continuous year of undergraduate study (minimum 90 credits, GPA ≥ 3.0).

Premedical (PM) route: At least five CSEC subjects at proficiency Levels 1–3 (Grades 1–2 before 1998), or five GCE O-level subjects at Grades A/B/C or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics and at least two science subjects. CAPE is also accepted. Premed prerequisite: a minimum of five subjects including English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics and/or Physics.

Consideration given to: Experience, Work History, Personal Statement, Community/Voluntary Service, and a Structured Interview.

No English proficiency test is required.

Tuition & Fees

One MD, one total — billed by semester.

MD tuition is $98,000 USD in total for the four-year programme — $22,500 USD in each of Years 1 and 2, and $26,500 USD in each of Years 3 and 4. It is billed per semester, two semesters a year.

All amounts are in USD. Tuition excludes living costs and personal expenses.

Reservation fee

A $1,000 USD reservation fee is payable once you are accepted. It is credited in full toward your first semester — it is part of Year 1 tuition, not an extra charge on top of it.

Payment plans

Students can arrange a payment plan with the institution.

This fee structure gives the lowest tuition for an MD degree among comparable Caribbean medical schools — an MD for under $100,000 USD.
